“Welcome to the Edmonds Police Department web site! It is my honor and privilege to lead this organization, made up of amazing men and women. Rest assured that we will continue to abide by our department motto, Service Before Self.

We remain dedicated to our values: Service – Integrity – Respect – Stewardship. We do so knowing that we must constantly strive to earn and maintain the trust and confidence that you, the community we serve, afford us each and every day. It is only through that trust and confidence that we can work cooperatively with our community in ensuring everyone’s safety and security to the best of our abilities. Our effectiveness is a direct reflection of our positive relationship and partnership with those whom we have sworn to serve. There are far too many examples of fractured relationships between communities and their law enforcement partners and the difficulties that result.

These are exciting times for us, as with retirements also come new hires. We have been quite active hiring and training the professional law enforcement officers of the future. I am extremely excited that there will be several promotions that will be taking place over the next few months, adding to our strong leadership cadre. I am also very proud of our recruiting efforts over the past few years, as we continue to attract strong and diverse candidates to our department, becoming more representative of the community we serve.
